Get the Most Out of Your Summer Break

May 16th, 2012

School is almost out! You’ve been looking forward to summer break for almost 200 days. (That is so many days.) No more homework! No more projects! Absolute freedom is in your grasp!

But you know what’s going to happen? After a few weeks of summer vacation, most of you are going to mumble these words: I’m bored.

What? But you’ve been waiting for this your entire life? And once you finally have the one thing you wanted, you’re bored with it?

Okay okay… it’s normal. No worries. Just don’t say those words to your parents, cause you know what they’ll do? They’ll give you a big old list of chores to do to keep you busy.

Get the Most Out of Your Summer Break
                        That vacuum weighs 200 pounds.

FLIPnOUT has some suggestions to save you from boredom. We’re gonna help you stay busy AND have fun. Here is a list of 20 things:

1. Invent a new type of pizza.

2. Get your friends together and have a picnic in the shade.

3. Go to an outdoor concert.

4. Learn to play guitar.

Or just grow your hair out like this guy.

5. Have a sleep-over party and watch a scary movie. Or a not scary movie if that isn’t your thing.

6. Make your own slip-n-slide using heavy duty plastic wrap and dish soap.

7. Go to lunch with your mom or dad.

8. Read a good book.

9. Start learning a new language.

10. Grab a friend and get a gym membership.

11. Teach yourself to cook.

12. Start keeping a journal.

13. Get some sidewalk chalk and play hopscotch.

14. Go camping with your friends.

15. Pretend you’re a tourist in your own town. (This should be pretty easy in Las Vegas.)

16. Visit a museum. (The Lied Discovery Museum here is awesome!)

17. Host a garage sale and sell your old stuff to make some dough!

Because everyone knows that Craigslist is shady.

18. Learn how to breakdance.

19. Look through old photo albums and yearbooks. Better yet, find your old elementary school friends on Facebook and reconnect.

20. Run through the sprinklers with your friends.

These are only 20 ideas of things you can do. There are literally thousands of other places to visit, foods to eat, movies to see, and things to do! And of course you can always visit us at FLIPnOUT for a good time!

Our New Website is Live!

February 8th, 2012

After being open for a whole two years, we figured it was time for our website to get a face lift! We really wanted to create a fun online presence to match our fun business! Here’s just a brief summary of what the website has to offer:

PARTIES!
We LOVE birthday parties! The fun starts with 45 minutes on the trampolines and an hour in our party area. It’s a definite blast, the kids won’t be disappointed!

FUNdraisers!
If you haven’t been to a FLIPnOUT FUNdraiser yet, you’re missing out! It’s a great way to have fun with while earning money at the same time!

AIR-obics!
One word – AMAZING! AIR-obic exercise is guaranteed to give you an amazing workout. Go ahead, try it.

Registration
This is where the fun begins. EVERY person who plans on jumping at FLIPnOUT MUST register and sign a waiver! And as long as you’re registered, you’ll only have to sign a waiver on the first visit.

News!
Here is where we update fun things we’re doing, or things we’ve done. We also put fun ideas on our blog for other ways to stay entertained. We kinda think we’re pretty good at having fun, so why not share with others!

And that’s it! There’s the new site! Enjoy!

Get Out of the School Daze!

September 23rd, 2011

Get Out of the School Daze!Want to make the school year a bit more exciting than an everyday grind? How about the perfect after-school snack to look forward to after a long day of studying, sporting, and learning? Try this fun twist on the traditional PB&J as a unique (and delicious) post-school snack:

•2 teaspoons butter

•2 slices white bread

•1 teaspoon peanut butter

•2 teaspoons any flavor fruit jelly

•Powdered sugar

1. Heat griddle or skillet to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of

one slice of bread, and jelly on the other. Place one slice, buttered side down on the griddle. Top with

other slice, so that peanut butter and jelly are in the middle. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until

golden brown, and heated through.

3. Sprinkle with powdered sugar

And if you’re STILL looking to break up the monotony, try the perfect after-school activity: a free jump

at FLIPnOUT. Bring your friends or hang with the family to wind down (and jump around) from the days’

activities.

We promise you won’t be thinking about reading, writing or arithmetic—unless of course you’re

estimating how high you can jump.

Hello, Fall!

September 13th, 2011

Hello, Fall! That back-to-school time can be both exciting and challenging. With all the activities and events that come with a new school year, getting back into the groove can be difficult. Not to mention that new classes full of new kids can be intimidating and scary for some kids.

Well, we have a solution for all of that! We call it “Back to School – FLIPnOUT Style!”

What better way to celebrate a new year and get to know the new classmates than to have a back-to-school party at FLIPnOUT? Invite everyone to go Dutch at a free jump or plan a more formal party with invitations food. Either way, getting kids together for some pure fun and games can be a great way to break the ice (and maybe even make your kid the most popular student in town).

School’s tough enough. Why not bring a little fun into the year? Call us today!

So Long, Summer!

August 31st, 2011

So Long, Summer!

Sure, the first day of school is always exciting, but when the long, free days of summer finally come to a close, for most kids, it’s a total bummer.

That’s why it’s time to end the summer with a bang—or maybe just a really good jump. What better way to give the season one last hoorah than with an end-of-summer party? And what better place to have an end-of-summer party than at FLIPnOUT?

Just like summer is supposed to be, planning a party at FLIPnOUT is easy-peasy! Just give us a call and we’ll arrange it all! Sure, you may not be ready for pencils, notebooks and geography books just yet, but with a celebration like this, you may actually look forward to the end of the season!

So Long, Summer!

August Blues?

August 25th, 2011

August Blues?Everybody loves summertime, but when the hottest month of the year also coincides with four holiday-less weeks, those long steamy days can be a drag. Well, we’re not going to stand for it! At FLIPnOUT, there’s always something to celebrate – especially when the desert sun makes you want to flock indoors (and have yourself a jump!). But if you need something else to look forward to in August – we found a few quirky holidays just for you!

August is:

National Catfish Month
National Golf Month
National Inventors Month
National Foot Health Month
American Artist Appreciation Month

Not to mention that August also hosts Elvis Week, National Apple Week, National Smile Week, Air Conditioning Appreciation Week, and American Dance Week.

Hey… why not smile and dance in the air conditioning at FLIPnOUT? Just a thought…

Stocks Down, Jump High!

August 18th, 2011

Stocks Down, Jump High!Summertime may be a great time for most, but it’s proving to be quite a challenge for the stock market. But don’t get depressed; while stocks may be falling, your spirits should be jumping! And what better way to do that than to get your body jumping too.

See, the thing is, not only does a good dose of fun with friends and family lift your spirits, but you’ll get some great exercise that in turn skyrockets your endorphins! All that for 10 bucks(or even cheaper with the deals from our Facebook and Twitter pages)! And with the way this economy is going, cheap entertainment that’s fun for the whole family is just what the doctor (or banker) ordered!

So stop thinking about falling and start thinking about jumping! Give us a call or come on in for a serious pick-me-up and some sky-high jumps (wish the stock market would follow suit!).

Jump for (Nostalgic) Joy

August 3rd, 2011

Jump for (Nostalgic) Joy

Sure, it’s pretty easy to see why fun seekers flock to FLIPnOUT – our free jumps, exercise classes, dodge ball tournaments, and other attractions offer something exciting and different for all ages. But maybe FLIPnOUT’s exciting atmosphere has a little something to do with nostalgia.

Thing about it; as a kid, you probably loved any game that involved jumping. Any of these sound familiar?

-          Hopscotch

-          Leap Frog

-          Jump Rope

-          Bop It

-          Hurdles

What other did you play? Why not dust them off (and supercharge them) at FLIPnOUT this week?
